FAQ’s About General Dentistry
What should I look for in a new Dentist?
Looking for a new dentist can come down to many factors. Some factors you might want to consider are: what are all the services the dentist provides, what kind of payment or insurance programs do they work with, how long have they been practicing for, is there anything the dentist specializes in, how do they treat patients who might be apprehensive to see a dentist?
All these questions are helpful when embarking on a long-term patient-dentist relationship.
How often should I see the Dentist?
You should visit the dentist every six months for a routine cleaning or check-up. Regular visits are important because it helps to prevent future problems such as decay, gum disease, and detection of any early-stage oral cancers.
Children should see a dentist within six months of their first tooth appearing. People who suffer from gum disease or are susceptible to tooth decay or gum disease are recommended to see the dentist three times a year.
